Load Data
You first of all need to load a large metabolic model for its analysis. To do so, you can either use a drag&drop operation (drag an SBML file from your systems file manager and drop it inside the Vanted program window) or navigate to File > Open and select the SBML file in the appearing file chooser.
Vanted may ask you, whether you'd like the network to be shown in the statistics view or the network view. Unless you are interested in having a huge drawing of the entire network, it is appropriate to choose statistics view for the main purpose of LMME, which also takes far less time than the network view.
After loading the model, navigate to the LMME tab on the right and press the uppermost button Set Model (see figure). You will immediately see some general information about the model, appearing at the top of the tab.
